Connected Systems - A new way of working

Loupe is a shared software platform that allows suppliers to quickly manage and maintain pricing across a vast number of retail partners. In this article we explain how a single pricing update affects all customers.

Traditionally in your internal computer systems, if you make a change your customer is not made aware of that change until you email them to notify them. However, Loupe is a shared software between you and your customer, and the entire purpose is to drive efficiencies so that if you make a change in your system it will automatically update your customer's system. Some of the changes you can make in Loupe are obvious that they will impact your customer. However, some are less clear. The purpose of this article is to explain how anything you change will affect your customers' prices.

Editing a price for a specific customer

To see how this works, first find and select an item in Running Lines. Remember Running Lines contains the samples that have been selected by a customer. So any prices you edit here will be specific to that customer. If you make a change to your customer's price in this table, then you would naturally expect that your customer will be notified of this new price and see it in Loupe.

Editing a price for all customers

Unlike editing a price on Running Lines where doing so affects only one customer, if you make a price change to a sample then all products associated with the sample will also be affected. So every retail partner that has selected this item will see an updated price in Loupe. Thus, one change affects everyone.

You can make these types of price changes inside of Master Line by simply editing an existing sample. To do this select Master Line under Samples in the left navigation and select the item you would like to edit. Then select the edit icon like you see on the right.

At this point you'll be presented with the sample editing workflow. First, select Review on the far right, and then scroll down to the section titled Material & Sizes and click Edit on the far right. On this screen you will have the ability to edit the price of this sample. Again, any changes made here will affect all your retailer partners who have selected this item.
