Transformer Process Overview

Loupe has created Excel-based transformer files to enable movement of data from client system into Loupe databases. In this article, we will outline process and steps to conduct for creating a transformer file for each client.

OBJECTIVES

  • To move data from client system to Loupe system with minimum possible administration
  • To load client data only once, and be able to integrate with multiple customers via Loupe

STEP BY STEP GUIDE - CUSTOMER

  1. Customer provides data exported from their current database system which are:
    • ERP exported data
    • ERP system parameters (eg metal / metal title / plating colours)
    • ERP system attributes (eg gold, silver / 750 417 375 925 / yellow, rose, white)
  2. Data engineers will analyse your provided data set to identify and match common parameters between customer’s parameters and Loupe's parameters.
    Capture1-5
    • Some parameters could be a constant (default value).
      Capture3
  3. In each parameter, data engineers will translate customer’s attributes to Loupe's attributes. Sometimes client attributes will match Loupe attributes, other times we will need to convert from client attribute format to Loupe attribute format:
    Capture2-1
  4. Data engineers will transform customer's data format into Loupe's data format.
    Comparison
  5. The end result will be at least 95% automated process to prepare your data for batch upload to Loupe.
  6. Data engineer delivers customer the completed transformation file.
