In this article we will show you how you can communicate with your customer within Designs
There are two ways to communicate with customers in Designs. First, you can communicate about a design at a high level. Or, you can communicate right on a design image. In this article we will cover both communication flows.
Communicating on a Design
To communicate with a customer about a design, first go to the design you would like communicate within. Then select Comments at the top of the page.
From here you can add any comments you would like to make to the customer; including text and images. After you post the comment your customer will be notified, and you will also be notified once they post their comment.
Communicating on a Design Image
To communicate with your customer about a design image, first go to the design you would like to communicate about. Then scroll down to the section named Design Summary, and select Communicate with Customer. And, now, when asked who is this comment for, choose External.
You will now see a popup with the image of the design. Simply click anywhere on the image to leave a comment on that specific location. With this ability to select anywhere on the image, you can leave multiple comments that are specific to the components of the piece. If you make a mistake you can always adjust the position of the comment on the image, and edit that comment as well. You can also upload an image into a comment as well.
Tip: You can upload multiple designs and see a full history of your uploads and their respective comments.
