Labour - Setting Grids for Manufacturers

This article explains hows to manage the population of stone setting charges for your customers's Setting grids.

Step 1: Go to Sourcing > Labour> Setting page and filter by the customer to see the grids that they have created.

💡 Top Tip

If you do not see a setting type which is required for your customer use the "REQUEST A LABOUR SETTING TYPE" button. This will inform your customer and they will be able to create the missing grid for you to quote against.

Step 2
: If your customer has already set a standard setting charge, it would appear in the Approved column, otherwise it will display blank. Please submit your price in the Price > Quoted Column.

Step 3:
After reviewing your quoted price, the customer will set an approved price for each row and it will be immediately visible to you.

💡 Helpful Tips

If your Quoted Price is greater than Approved Price, the Approved Price will be highlighted in red. This indicates that further negotiation is required.

If Quoted Price is less than or equal to Approved Price, the Approved Price will be highlighted in green. This indicates that customer has agreed to the price submitted.

The principle of the Atelier Sourcing grid system is to allow trading companies to pre-agree component costs in order to automate their cost approval process.

Only approved costs will drive these automations, so if your costs are not approved you will prevent your customer from efficient cost updates across large groups of SKUs, and deny yourself pre-population of all pre-agreed costs when you come to Cost Submission for a specific SKU, making your job more difficult, and the cost approval process more lengthy.
