Enterprise retailers and their vendors need certain parts of the Bill of Materials to be automatically driven by pre-agreed costs in the Sourcing grids. Without this automation, vendors and customers would need to manually update and re-approve all SKUs when a pre-agreed component cost is updated, creating lots of manual work and human error. |
We implemented a method that gives vendors the ability to set up automation which will pre-populate and update component costs for all impacted SKUs when the pre-agreed component cost is updated by their customers. |
Vendors and their enterprise retailers can now pre-agree on automatic cost updates. Retailers can view the "Tether to Grid" column within a Cost Submission to check whether component-level costs are set to update automatically. |
