This article describes how Loupe accepts and rejects images
Summary
Images are a primary part of showcasing your samples in Loupe. In order to optimize your catalog we have some rules about what types of images may be loaded to the application.
Image Acceptance Rules
Images that have a white background are generally accepted. Images may also have a slight reflection or shadow. Images will be rejected if they contain off-white or dark backgrounds, show the jewelry being worn, include text, or where the focal point is too small. Below are some example images and why they are accepted or rejected.
Tip: For best results please upload a minimum size of 800x800 pixels.
Accepted Images
The images below would be accepted because they have white backgrounds and slight reflections.
Rejected Images
These images would be rejected for the following reasons:
This image would be rejected because it has a dark, non-white background. Reshooting this image with a plain white background would fix this image.
This image would be rejected because it shows the piece being worn. The image would need to be recreated with the ring being shown by itself.
This image would be rejected because it contains text on the image itself. To fix this the text would need to be removed.
This image would be rejected because the focal point is too small. To correct this, the image would need to be created with more focus on the pendant itself.
